VPNQS FAQs
Find help by stage, from subscription updates to connection troubleshooting. Check your account and basic network first, then adjust the client or route. Avoid changing multiple settings at once.
Accounts & subscriptions
Account credentials, subscription updates and switching devices.
Do I need an email address to create an account? How should I store my account details?
No email address is required. Create an account with a username and password. Use a unique password and save your credentials in a trusted password manager rather than only in a browser on one device. After creating your account, make sure you can sign in to the dashboard before choosing a plan. Since accounts don't require an email address, don't assume you can recover access by email. If you forget your credentials, follow the account assistance process shown in the dashboard. When contacting support, share only the information needed to explain the issue. Never send your password or post screenshots that show your subscription link.
Where can I find my subscription link, and how do I update it in my client?
Sign in to the user dashboard and look for the subscription section in your account overview. Import the subscription using a method supported by your client. On devices where it has already been imported, select the relevant entry in the client's subscription or configuration manager and choose the update option. Then check the route list. If the update fails, make sure the dashboard is accessible and your plan is active, and check that you haven't copied explanatory text or extra spaces. If the dashboard provides a new subscription link, replace the old source before updating instead of repeatedly adding configurations with the same name. Your subscription link contains access credentials. Don't share it in public forums or with unfamiliar conversion sites.
Do I need to choose a new plan when I switch devices? Can I connect on multiple devices at once?
There is no device limit, and switching devices alone doesn't require choosing a new plan. Sign in to your existing account on the new device, get the client and subscription for that platform, then choose a route and connect. Check your plan's data allowance and status in your account. Connecting multiple devices doesn't give each device a separate data allowance. Before selling, transferring or retiring an old device, remove saved subscriptions and account details from the client. If you think your subscription has been exposed, check whether the dashboard offers a reset option and update the devices you still use as instructed. Don't give your subscription to someone else to install for you.
Which platforms are supported? Do I need to buy a plan before downloading the client?
Supported platforms: Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. Get the client and subscription through the user dashboard; marketing pages don't provide installers or direct links to active subscriptions. On platforms other than iOS, sign in to download the client; you don't need to have purchased a plan. Sign in to get a subscription, and check your plan status before connecting. For iOS, follow the access options and requirements shown in the dashboard. Before installing, make sure the client matches your operating system. Then follow the prompts to grant the required network permissions. If you don't see a download option, don't get an installer from an unfamiliar source.
Connections & troubleshooting
Check your basic network, plan status and client settings in that order.
The subscription imported successfully, but I can't open websites after connecting. What should I check first?
Disconnect the client first and check whether your current network can access everyday websites. If the basic connection isn't working, troubleshoot your local network before anything else. Then check your plan status and remaining data in the dashboard, update the subscription, and reconnect using a route you select again. A connected status only means the connection process has started; it doesn't guarantee that a particular website is reachable. Also check that proxy mode is enabled, that the active configuration is the subscription you just imported, and that no other proxy or VPN is running on your device. Change one setting at a time and note the result so you can identify the cause.
Why does a particular app fail to use the proxy when my browser works?
Apps handle network traffic differently, so a working browser doesn't mean every app follows the system proxy settings. First check whether the client is in rule mode and whether rules are sending the app or domain to a direct connection. Then check whether the app has its own proxy settings. If the client offers a tunnel mode or an option to route all system traffic, read its documentation and grant the required permissions if appropriate. Fully quit the app and reopen it. Don't delete all your rules just to test. Instead, compare the client’s available proxy modes, identify the scope of the issue, then restore the configuration that works for everyday use.
How do I fix insufficient network permissions or a failed VPN configuration?
Check the client's network permissions in your system settings and follow the prompts to allow a VPN configuration or enable the required network components. On macOS, you may need to approve a network extension in System Settings. On mobile devices, check whether you previously denied permission to add a configuration. Once permission is granted, reopen the client and try connecting again. If your device is managed by your employer or school, its policies may restrict these permissions. Ask your device administrator rather than bypassing the management settings. If the issue persists, note the exact error, operating system and steps that triggered it, then submit a support ticket. Hide subscription and account details in screenshots.
Do I need to reinstall after disconnecting when waking from sleep or switching networks?
Usually, try reconnecting first; you don't need to reinstall right away. A connection may drop after your device wakes from sleep, switches Wi-Fi networks or moves to a different network. Confirm the new network works, then disconnect and reconnect the client. If the problem continues, quit and reopen the client, check for other proxy settings, and restart the device if needed. Follow the dashboard's instructions to repair the installation only if a component is damaged or the client explicitly prompts you to do so. When reporting the issue, mention whether the disconnection always follows a network change and whether reconnecting restores service. This is more useful for troubleshooting than a general report that it doesn't work.
Speed & routes
Choose routes based on how the destination service performs; route names aren't speed guarantees.
How can I troubleshoot slow websites and video during peak hours?
Pause bandwidth-heavy tasks on your device and other devices on the same network, then check whether the slowdown affects only one website. Keep the client settings unchanged and compare with another route. Then try different regions or route types to see whether the issue changes. If all routes behave similarly, test another available network to distinguish a local network issue from a cross-border connection issue. For video, also check the player's automatic quality setting, background downloads and your plan's remaining data. When contacting support, include your network environment, selected region, route type and what was slow. Don't judge every route's long-term performance based on a single loading test.
How should I choose between IEPL, relay and direct routes?
Route types describe connection paths; they aren't speed rankings that apply in every network environment. IEPL routes focus on cross-border link routing, relay routes connect through an intermediate node, and direct routes use a more direct path. Actual performance still depends on your local network, the destination service and current route conditions. To compare routes, use the same device and network to access the same service, and compare page loads, connection stability and playback rather than relying on route names. You can keep a route that works well for your regular services and another as a backup. Check the current subscription list in the dashboard for available regions and route types.
Which regions are covered, and is the closest region always the fastest?
VPNQS covers 120+ countries / 210+ routes. Distance is only one factor in connection performance; the actual path, carrier interconnections and the destination website's location also matter. The closest region isn't necessarily the fastest every time. For everyday browsing, try a nearby region with stable performance. For region-specific content or AI tools, check the service's own regional requirements too. The server page describes regions and route types; use the dashboard's list when connecting. Coverage doesn't mean every third-party website offers the same features in every region.
Can you guarantee that AI tools and streaming services will always work?
Third-party services can change their regional rules, account requirements and access policies. A route that worked before isn't guaranteed to keep working. After connecting, check that you can sign in, access the expected content region and use the features you need. Read any error message carefully to distinguish account permissions, content licensing and connection issues. While troubleshooting, keep your selected region consistent instead of repeatedly switching exit locations and signing in again. If the same account also fails on another network, check the service's account status first. For route-related issues, submit a support ticket with the region and exact error message.
Billing & refunds
Compare monthly plans and data packages, and check the dashboard confirmation page before making changes or paying.
How much do monthly plans cost, and when does data reset?
Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on your activation date, not necessarily on the first day of the calendar month. Sign in to the dashboard to check your current status. Choose a plan based on your typical video streaming, file transfers and use across devices; the number of devices doesn't need to determine your choice because there is no device limit. If you're nearing your data limit, check the dashboard usage records before changing plans. If usage is much higher than expected, check background sync, system updates and active downloads instead of attributing all usage to web browsing.
What's the difference between a data package and a monthly plan? Can I upgrade partway through?
Data packages are ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB and ¥658/3000GB. They remain valid until used and never expire. Monthly plans reset data each month on the activation date. Choose based on whether you need a monthly allowance or a set amount of data to use over time; a data package isn't a monthly allowance that replenishes. If you upgrade a monthly plan partway through, the price difference is prorated against the remaining days. The dashboard's confirmation page shows the actual change. Before submitting, check the target plan, amount due and resulting account status. If you already have a plan and aren't sure how a change will affect it, ask support through a ticket rather than repeatedly creating orders to test.
What payment methods are available? What should I do if my plan doesn't update after payment?
Payment methods include Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. Before paying, check the plan, amount and order status in the user dashboard, then follow the payment instructions for that order. If your plan hasn't updated after payment, return to the original order to check its status, refresh your account overview and make sure you're signed in to the same account. Don't pay again before checking the original order, and don't send money to payment details that aren't shown on the order page. If you need help, submit a ticket with the order details, payment result and a description of the issue. Redact personal information unrelated to the issue from payment receipts. Processing times and updates on payment issues depend on the order and support response.
How do I request a refund, and what should I include in a support ticket?
VPNQS offers a 30-day refund policy; check the refund policy for eligibility details. To request a refund, sign in to the account used for payment and submit your request through the ticket option in the user dashboard, including the order details that need attention. You can add your current plan and payment status to help support verify the request, but you don't need to provide proof of connection issues. Keep the ticket open and add any follow-up information there rather than splitting it across multiple conversations. Refund requests, outcomes and payment timelines are subject to the actual support response. Don't include your account password, full subscription link or sensitive information unrelated to verifying the order.
